Ok, folks, this part of the story is going to get a little rough. But don’t worry, this isn’t Game of Thrones. >)
On an unrelated note… You can visit me in Orlando this 15th through 17th at Megacon! I’ll be in the artist alley at table Purple 15. Kinda fitting huh? Purple like Coffin’s robes! Anywho, be sure to mention that you’re a reader of the comic online and I’ll have a little something special for you! >D
Update:
Hey all, no update this monday. >( was getting ready for megacon then caught some kind of bug… anyways, I should be back up and running next monday… if not, I’ll have something up for you. sry bout that folks!

I love your comic. The colors, the humor, the personalities…and especially the way you draw the ladies (grin). (here comes the) However, one thing I’ve always disliked about your comic is how you try to jam a ton of action into tiny panels, which often are in triangles or other shapes. Doing this seriously makes it hard to understand what’s going on. Today’s strip is a great example. The only thing I’m sure of is that Coffin was interrupted and now things are spinning out of control. Beyond that, it’s all a mess. There needs to be more perspective and better framing.
Please take this as constructive criticism. I love What’s Shakin; it’s on my daily read list.
howdy, thanks for the support! yeah, one of the issues I run into with this format, and that’s very difficult to maneuver around is that there tends to be a lot of time between pages (1 week) which is hard to keep things flowing. that results in pages being a little bit on the crammed side (as opposed to a printed issue you can read in one sitting). believe me, I try to make the action clear but I also don’t want it toooooo spread out and resulting in a dragon ball z formula where one action scene lasts months. lol! XD
anyways, thanks for the critique. it’s something I have to be careful with. sometimes it works, sometimes not so much. but it’s all a learning curve. >)
Took me awhile to realize that the comic is jumping back to where comic #106 left off. Perhaps that will help clear some confusion.
yes, part of what’s happening here and in much of this issue is that there is a sense of chaos going on. I did want some stuff to seem a bit… amorphous. more to come! stay tuned! >D
Well, you know, we, your readers, wouldn’t be offended if you simply used as much vertical space as you needed with each update. That’s what our scroll bar is for. Make the panels bigger, and make each strip taller. We won’t complain! :-D
lol, I’m sure! but I’ve leaned my lessons last time I tried to print a comic because I didn’t format it right and it made life not so wonderful.
also… now that I’m a working stiff, I only have 1 day a week to draw. >( but I do what I can. >) lol, in related news, I’m going to try to convince my boss to let me do a comic advertisement! it will be… interesting. XD
